Why are my PondMAX color changing pond lights flashing or strobing?
PondMAX color changing lights are designed to change colors using the remote and they also have automatic modes that you can set to jump or fade through the colors in a sequence. If your lights are flashing very fast and you cannot control it with the remote, this typically indicates there is too much power being drawn through the controller. Check for the following:
- How many lights do you have on one RF controller? The controller is rated for only 36 watts. Add up the wattage rating of all of your lights and if it is more that 36 watts you will need to reduce the number of light on that controller to be less than 36 watts.
- Connect each light to the controller indavidually and see which one is damaged and cuasing it to short out. While doing this check each connection for damamges and if there is water in the connections.
- Once you have detirmined which light is cuasing the issue then check the connections and remove the lense to check and see if there is water in the fixture or id the bulb is cuasing the short. You can do this by exchanging a bulb from another fixture that is working good.
- Finally once you have checked and corrected everything you can, reasemble the system and make sure all connections are tight and that the last light has the cap installed correctly.
