Can I use an aftermarket lamp (bulb) for my pond UV Clarifier?
Allthough there maybe many aftermarket (cheap) options for UV lamps that may work in your filter it is always recomended to use OEM parts.
- It usually voids the warranty to use aftermarket parts.
- You may order one online and it not fit perfectly as there are many manufactures that have not made there products to a universal standard.
- Most often there is a reason the products are cheaper and that is they wont last as long.
It is important when replacing a UV lamp that you buy quality lamps. The UV light is designed to put out a spacific light wave. As they get older they will appear to continue working but infact they are not giving out the correct light strength and are ineffective. Cheaper lamps losse thier stregth sooner than quality lamps.
